Walt --

Move to Amend is in partnership with the independent, national news network Free Speech TV, to air the collaborative film project Shadows of Democracy this June!

Move to Amend teamed up with the producers at Bullfrog Films and DocFactory to create a film mash up that includes segments from the documentaries The Corporation, Shadows of Liberty, and Move to Amend's Legalize Democracy. In addition to the film, Free Speech TV will air interviews taken from our first-ever National Leadership Summit between Act Out's Eleanor Goldfield and Move to Amend's National Team!

Tune in at the following dates and times (Eastern Standard Timezone):
  • June 6th at 6pm and 9pm
  • June 11th at 10am, 6pm, and 10pm

the_corporation.jpg
The Corporation
explores the nature and spectacular rise of the dominant institution of our time, providing insightful and compelling analysis that takes the corporation's status as a legal "person" to the logical conclusion to ask: what kind of person is it?

shadows_of_liberty.jpegShadows of Liberty reveals the extraordinary truth behind the news media: censorship, cover-ups and corporate control. Filmmaker Jean-Philippe Tremblay takes a journey through the darker corridors of the US media, where global conglomerates call the shots, tracing the story of media manipulation through the years to pose a crucial question: why have we let a handful of powerful corporations write the news?

legalize-democracy-thumb-small_0.jpgLegalize Democracy is a short documentary about Move to Amend, the national grassroots campaign to amend the US Constitution to unequivocally state that corporations are not people and money is not speech. This documentary details a history of Supreme Court decisions that gave corporations constitutionally protected rights and established that money is free speech.

Come together with family, friends, and neighbors to watch the absurdity of corporate personhood and money as protected political speech and learn more about the grassroots movement to amend the Constitution to end corporate rule. We hope you enjoy it!

In solidarity,

Keyan Bliss

MOVE TO AMEND COALITION

PO Box 188617, Sacramento CA 95818 | (916) 318-8040 | www.MoveToAmend.org

We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling and other related cases, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.
